The Road of Love
“The Road of Love” is special to me because it was the first song I wrote, though not completed, a verse and the hook were done when I was 10. It was 1964, the Beatles were everywhere and they wrote their own songs which impressed me enough to give it a try. Fast forward 50 years later while writing the movie script, The Sweet Sixties, it became clear it needed a original song that could capture and help romanticize 1967, the so called Summer of Love. I then remembered the song, sang it and went about to add a chorus, a solo and melded the 60’s sound and the James Bond like theme into the production. Then my friend Ken Keller provided all the vocals in a teenager-like sound and a memory became a reality in the form of a song.
